Young adults daytime social group volunteer

Our social group for young adults, 'Board, not bored!' will meet on Thursdays 12 -2 at Outside the Box Board Games Cafe in Bramhall.

It is a safe space for young adults who want to connect with like minded people in a friendly environment.

We are looking for volunteers to help us set the group up. The role will involve welcoming new members, helping them feel comfortable, engaging in conversation, playing board games. There is no food prep/service involved.

Role

- Must be chatty and friendly and able to help people feel included.
- Interested in playing a variety of board games. You do not need knowledge of games, just a willingness to learn.
- Must be able to relate to young people.
- Available Thursdays 12-2.

The Community Hub team: - Support the socially isolated to access local community activities (social groups, peer support, education and training, volunteering, support groups). - Facilitate weekly social groups (dementia, SEN youth group, mental health support, social games group, walking groups, menopause peer support). - Provide advice and guidance to community groups that are new or wanting to develop their local offer.
