Organisation description:

The LWIS (Live Well Independently In Stockport) suite is located on the ground floor Fred Perry and it opened in June 2026. It brings the Live Well approach to life by providing a practical environment where people can explore equipment, adaptations and TEC solutions that support independent living. Alongside pre-booked assessment appointments, the suite includes realistic bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living areas where residents, carers and professionals can see and try equipment in action. A dedicated TEC area showcases technology that can support safety, wellbeing and independence at home, helping people identify practical solutions before needs escalate. We have reception staff and are looking for volunteers to meet people and direct people to the space either to look round or for a pre-booked Stockport Local appointment. The opening times are Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.
