PAT Test Volunteer (Varied roles to suit all skills)

Working for a Christian Charity in the centre of Stockport we are looking for volunteers to help test and refurbish all types of appliances from a washing machines to a hair dryer and everything in between. We also would like volunteers to be willing to clean, polish and price the devices they've tested ready to present in the shop for the lovely people of Stockport to buy without having to spend a lot of money. Volunteers can benefit from a range of benefits including training, travel expenses and staff discount.

Role

Electrical background is helpful but not at all necessary Very Basic I.T skills preferable 18+ years old Willing to perform varied tasks to achieve the overall goal. Willing to learn from others and offer solutions to problems. If experience with online selling platforms we also sell through these so opportunities to work on these platforms too.

At Community Appliances we offer low-cost, second-hand appliances and electricals. All items are cleaned and tested at our premises in Stockport. As a charity, one of our aims is to provide skills and work experience to help the unemployed gain employment. Our PAT testing department is ideal for those wanting to learn all aspects of refurbishment of electricals.
