Park Play Volunteer

REF: 6998539b3da2d

ParkPlay is coming to Stockport and it needs someone like you to lead the way! ParkPlay is 2 hours of free fun and games in the local park every weekend for people of all ages. Its volunteer led and focus’ on the importance of play! Now this is where you come in, we’re looking for friendly, welcoming, fun people to be part of a team that leads these sessions on a Saturday morning at Offerton Parish Park. You don’t need to be experienced at leading sessions or groups of people, you just need to be passionate about community, Stockport and supporting people to lead healthier, happier lives. Play Leaders are the ones who: - Welcome Park Players - Set up and run the games - Make sure everyone is safe and having as much fun as they can There are loads of benefits to becoming a playleader, here are just a few: - Develop your confidence and skills - Have a positive impact on the community - Feel part of the national ParkPlay movement - Build new friends in the community - Access new connections and opportunities in your area Being a Play Leader is a fantastic way to build up confidence, learn new skills, make new friends and feel connected to your community. Alongside all of this, its somewhere you can make a difference to others whilst your own children are also benefitting, much like what you do with your PTA role. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! Find out more: www.park-play.com/playleaders Want to get involved: email fiona.berry@stockport.gov.uk or carl.cawood@lifeleisure.net
