MNTV outdoor conservation Volnteer

Our Volunteers meet at National Trust Proerties around Stoskport, Manchester, Cheshire & Merseyside on Sundays to do outdoor Conservation with NT Rangers. The work is varied, including chopping down trees, dredging ponds, pulling up non native plants, laying hedges, repairing walls and fences. All tools and training are provided. Imagine a day being outdoors and active, working in the countryside with friends, learning about conservation and improving the environment. Find out more at mntv.org.uk

Role

You need to be over 18 (or accompanied by an adult) . Physical capable of walking 1 mile over uneven ground. Being able to drive and having a car is an advantage to get to the locations on a Sunday, once you get to know the group lifts may be arranged with other Volunteers.

Organisation description:

The group helps National Trust Rangers in the North West with outdoor conservation work every Sunday. A great way to get outside, meet new friends, have some exercise and do some good for the local environment. We could be planting or chopping down trees, building leaky dams, laying hedges, clearing ponds. Improving pathways etc.
