Grove Lane day centre is sited within Grove Lane Baptist Church in Cheadle Hulme . It’s been established for over 40 years and provides a really. Valuable service to older people within our community. For many of our clients this is the only opportunity to get out and mix with other people.
We provide a service on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 1.30pm each week run entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers provide transport to bring people into the centre and take them home . We provide transport a freshly cooked 2 course meal at each session and our clients enjoy social interaction along with some games and very often just a good chat .
We desperately need to increase our bank of volunteers to ensure we can continue to provide this essential service

Role

Drivers - volunteers would need to access to a car , preferably with 4 doors . They must have a driving licence and appropriate insurance. Good communication skills
