Volunteer Opportunity: Help Give Furniture and Appliances a Second Life

The Furniture Recycling Project collects and recycles good-quality furniture and electrical white goods that are donated to families and residents across Stockport who need them most.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help in our workshop and warehouse. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in your local community while learning practical skills.

What You'll Be Doing
Cleaning and preparing donated furniture and white goods
Testing electrical appliances to ensure they are safe and working
Carrying out basic repairs and refurbishment where possible
Helping to organise and prepare items for distribution
Supporting our team in reducing waste and promoting reuse
What We're Looking For
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
An interest in practical, hands-on work
Reliability and teamwork skills
No previous experience is necessary, as training and support will be provided
