Where tasks involve potential risk, appropriate support, training, or professional contractors will be used. A DBS check will be undertaken (free for volunteers). This Role Is Voluntary This is a voluntary position with no contractual obligations. You are free to stop volunteering at any time, and we will work flexibly around your availability. Walthew House is an independent charity in Stockport that provides practical and emotional support to people who are Blind, Visually Impaired, Deaf, Hard of Hearing or who have Dual Sensory Loss. The charity was founded in 1882 and is named after its founder John Walthew, a former Mayor of Stockport. We provide a range of social activities, befriending, advocacy work, training and much more.
