Role

Expression Concert Music Foundation CIC is looking for confident, personable volunteers to conduct red carpet interviews with dignitaries, guest performers, and community members arriving at the Stockport Multicultural Christmas Concert on 19 December at Stockroom, Stockport. This role involves greeting guests as they arrive, asking prepared questions on camera or mic, and helping create a warm, professional welcome experience. Ideal for anyone with broadcasting, presenting, journalism, or public speaking experience or looking to build a portfolio in this area. Full briefing and sample questions provided beforehand.

Time commitment: Event day — 19 December at Stockroom, Merseyway Shopping Centre, Stockport. Volunteers should be available for a set-up briefing beforehand and to stay through to the end of the concert (Concert starts by 2pm and end by 4pm). Volunteers are to be at the venue by 12pm for set up and briefing. What to bring: Comfortable clothing/footwear (you'll be on your feet), and a phone for contact on the day. Media volunteers should bring their own equipment if they have it. Dress code: Smart-casual; We will provide a volunteer badge or lanyard on the day. Training/briefing: All volunteers receive a short briefing before the event — no prior experience required. Age requirement: Open to volunteers aged 16+. DBS check: Not required for this role, as it doesn't involve unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable adults. Expenses: Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
