Trustee (Treasurer)

REF: 6a68acf59e405

Trustees work together to provide strategic leadership, ensuring the charity is well governed, financially sustainable and able to achieve its charitable purpose. Trustees act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries, using their independent judgement to support good decision-making. They focus on strategy, oversight and accountability rather than day-to-day management. As a Trustee you will: - Provide strategic direction and constructive challenge. • Ensure the charity is well governed and complies with its legal and regulatory responsibilities, including those of the Charity Commission, Ofsted and the CQC. • Safeguard the charity’s financial sustainability, reputation and resources, acting with integrity and managing any conflicts of interest appropriately. • Support and hold the CEO to account for delivering the agreed strategy, while recognising that responsibility for day-to-day management rests with the executive team. • Help ensure the charity provides safe, high-quality services and fulfils its safeguarding responsibilities. • Champion our values, equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism, and act as an ambassador for the charity. • Attend and actively contribute to Board and committee meetings, bringing your skills, experience and networks to support the charity’s long-term success. We are committed to providing an inclusive experience for all those who want to apply for a role. If you have difficulty applying online please contact us at volunteer@togethertrust.org.uk or 0161 283 4848.
