Role

🌸 Volunteer Drivers Needed for Monthly Sunday Tea Parties! 🌸 We’re looking for kind-hearted volunteers to help bring joy and companionship to older people in our community. As a Tea Party Driver, you’ll: 🚗 Pick up older guests from their homes 🫖 Join them at a monthly Sunday afternoon tea party hosted in a volunteer’s home 🏡 Drive them home afterwards Each tea party lasts around two hours and is a wonderful opportunity to share stories, laughter, and friendship. You’re welcome to stay and enjoy the tea, cake, and company! These gatherings are a lifeline of friendship for older people who may be feeling lonely or isolated. Your time and kindness can make a real difference. 📅 Once a month | Sunday afternoons 📍 Different host homes each month If you have a car, a few hours to spare, and a warm heart, we’d love to hear from you! Since 1965 Re-engage has focused compassionately on providing a vital personal link to eradicate the loneliness of older people. Our aim is to bring generations together to reduce loneliness and social isolation amongst older people and bring generations together in friendship and shared experiences. Re-engage is one of the few charities solely committed to tackling the issue of loneliness and social isolation affecting people 75+ by helping them to re-engage through regular social contact through our tea parties, activity groups, call and rainbow call companions. We simply couldn't do what we do without the amazing support of our volunteers across the UK.
