Multipurpose Group Support

REF: Disability Stockport

Volunteering with Disability Stockport is a great way to give back, meet new people and be part of a supportive, inclusive community. Our volunteers play a big role in helping us create welcoming spaces where people can feel confident, creative and connected. Whether you’re supporting groups, lending a hand at activities, or sharing your own skills and interests, volunteering with us is flexible, rewarding and genuinely makes a difference. Full training is provided, and you’ll be supported every step of the way by a friendly team who really value the time and energy our volunteers give.

Role

We’re on the lookout for a few friendly volunteers to help out at our lovely multipurpose creative group, which runs every Thursday from 4pm to 6pm. You’d be helping to welcome people as they arrive, taking names, making brews, and generally lending a hand, as well as supporting our lead creative tutors during the activities. Some people may need a bit of one-to-one support at times, so having extra volunteers really helps everyone feel comfortable and included. The group is already growing and we’re keen to keep building on that, so we’re looking for a few extra friendly faces to help us grow and support this expanding group. If you have creative skills of your own, you’d also be very welcome to bring them along and get involved in that way too, if you’d like. It’s a relaxed, creative and welcoming space. Full training will be given, and the role will be subject to a DBS check, which will be arranged by Disability Stockport.
