PAT Test Volunteer

Working for a Christian Charity in the centre of Stockport we are looking for volunteers to help test and refurbish all types of appliances from a washing machines to a hair dryer and everything in between. Volunteers can benefit from a range of benefits including training, travel expenses and staff discount.

Role

Electrical background is helpful but not at all necessary
Basic I.T skills preferable
18+ years old
Willing to perform varied tasks to achieve the overall goal.

Bringing hope through Jesus Christ, our mission is to help long-term unemployed individuals break down the barriers that keep them from working, such as lack of education, skills and opportunity, addiction, criminal convictions and homelessness. At Community Appliances we offer low-cost, second-hand appliances and electricals. All items are cleaned and tested at our premises in Stockport. As a charity, one of our aims is to provide skills and work experience to help the unemployed gain employment. Our PAT testing department is ideal for those wanting to learn all aspects of refurbishment of electricals.
