Drop-in assistant

Stockport Refugee Support Group (SRSG) hold a drop-in every Saturday, these are run in a flexible way to adopt to the needs of visitors so there are no specific roles.However, some typical tasks might incude:- setting up before the session starts and clearing up at the end,helping with food preparation,serving food,packing food bags,helping with English conversation,befriending people andhelping with play sessions. All applicants must be over the age of 18.

Role

Enthusiasm and adaptibility. Any special skills eg music, art cooking would be a bonus!. We also require a DBS check but we can arrange this.

Stockport Refugee Support Group was formed in 2001 to befriend refugees and asylum seekers in Stockport.We hold a weeekly drop-in every Saturday where we provide a hot meal, food bags, an English conversation class and play activities for children.
