About Seashell Trust

Seashell is a national charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with complex learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional communication needs. Our Royal School Manchester provides outstanding education and care for students aged 4-19, tailored to their individual needs.

Role Overview

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to join our team as Lunchtime Assistants. You’ll help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment during lunchtime in our classrooms. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.

What you’ll do:

Support staff during lunchtime sessions in the classroom
Help set up and tidy away resources
Engage with students under staff guidance, promoting inclusion and participation
Work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team
Ensure a safe and positive environment for students

Role

What we’re looking for:

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Ability to follow staff guidance and adapt to changing needs
Commitment to safeguarding and equality
Enhanced DBS check (we’ll support you with this)
