We are looking for someone handy that is a 'dab hand' at DIY to help us with small, basic maintenance around our building, The Heatons Centre. Jobs might include putting up shelves, topping up paint, tightening loose screws and fixing chairs/tables. You will not be expected to do any complex work, plumbing or electrics, however, we would ask you to keep the centre tidy and be mindful of other people as you work.
Role
Ideally, you will be confident when it comes to household maintenance and your skills. We have a small selection of tools, so if you have some of your own in good working condition, this would be an advantage!When:

If you’re a Stockport carer or caring for somebody living in Stockport, we’re here for you. A carer is anyone providing help to a friend, neighbour or relative who could not manage without them because of frailty, illness, addiction or disability. Carers often don’t recognise themselves as ‘carers’; they just think of themselves as helping out somebody they care about. Our aim is to improve the quality of life for carers in Stockport from 6 years old to 96 years old and everyone in-between!
