We are looking for a friendly volunteer handyperson. You will be helping us to provide a pleasant environment for people coming for counselling and other mental health and wellbeing support. As a handyperson, you’ll call in to our base in Stockport every 1-2 weeks to carry out small DIY and maintenance tasks on an ongoing basis. Tasks will vary, but you could (for instance) be putting up a noticeboard, changing the fire alarm batteries, putting together flat-pack furniture, doing some light decorating, or putting shelves up. The time commitment is flexible.
Role
You will need to • have good basic DIY skills, • be friendly, • work safely and consider the safety of other people in the building, • be reliable and organised. We would particularly like to hear from people with experience of mental health challenges.When:
