About the Program: We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to help design, manage, and deliver our Summer Volunteer Program. This initiative focuses on finding things to fix locally and growing the skills and aspirations for those interested in environmental and horticultural careers.

Sessions: Sundays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. July- September 2025
Location: Marbury Road Edible Garden and Marbury Farm Nelstrop Rd North, Heaton Chapel. SK4 5NH

Role

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Project Design: Collaborate on innovative project ideas that will benefit the community and enhance personal learning experiences.
- Management: Oversee the successful execution of projects, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively.
- Facilities Delivery: Assist with managing facilities and providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Community Development: Engage with the local community, growing relationships and partnerships that support our initiatives.

Requirements:
- A interest in community building, environmental or horticulture sectors.
- Organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Marbury Road Edible Garden

Organisation description:

Community Garden & Orchard Since May 2022 we’ve planted an orchard and set up raised beds for seasonal vegetables in the grounds of the Marbury Road park in Stockport. Urban Farm We are at the start of a 10 year plan to turn this abandoned plot of land into a haven of allotments, a market garden and a community learning resource.
