Volunteer Grant Panellist – Refugee Welcome Programe Fund

REF: 6863f0442d906

As Stockport's charity infrastructure support organisation we facilitate different Stockport based funds and grants for the local voluntary & community sector. To ensure funding decisions are fair, ethical and include the voices of those with lived experience, we draw from a pool of volunteer independent grant panellists with experience relevant to the fund in question. This is your opportunity to have a say in funding decisions in Stockport.

Role

We are looking for a volunteer to join the grant panel for the Stockport Refugee Welcome Programme Fund. You do not need any experience in grant management, however we are looking for some who has: - Experience working with refugees OR has their own lived experience as a refugee / migrant / asylum seeker - Lives in Stockport - Has a proficient understanding of English as you will be required to read through grant applications The panel meeting will take place on Thursday 31 July. You will be sent the grant applications 1 week prior to the panel meeting and will need to read through and mark each application based on the criteria provided. You will then meet with the full grants panel (made up of the funder, representatives from Sector 3 and yourself) to discuss each application and agree on a final mark. The process will take approximately 6 hours in total (including the panel meeting).
