Social group volunteer – Fibromyalgia Community Cafe

We are seeking volunteers to help facilitate our peer support group for people living with fibromyalgia or other chronic pain/fatigue conditions. We meet the first and third Monday of the month (except bank holidays) at the Micker Brook in Cheadle.

- Experience of living with chronic pain/fatigue, or empathy with those who do - Friendly and welcoming - Available on the first & third Monday of the month, 10.30-12 - Enjoy meeting new people - Enjoy talking to people - Good listening skills

Organisation description:

The Community Hub team: - Support the socially isolated to access local community activities (social groups, peer support, education and training, volunteering, support groups). - Facilitate weekly social groups (dementia, SEN youth group, mental health support, social games group, walking groups, menopause peer support). - Provide advice and guidance to community groups that are new or wanting to develop their local offer.
