Are you passionate about Stockport and eager to contribute to positive change in your community? The Peoples Hub is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to become our Stockport Story Gatherers and Local Impact Champions. This exciting opportunity will allow you to connect with inspiring local organisations, amplify and empower their social impact, and contribute to building a stronger Stockport.

As a volunteer, you will:

Discover and document the great work of organisations across Stockport: Uncover and share the stories of local initiatives making a real difference.
Support Shop Local campaigns: Help promote local businesses and initiatives that strengthen the Stockport economy and community.
Contribute to impactful reports: Gather information and insights to contribute to reports on local needs, solutions, and successes in Stockport.
Engage with local government: Assist in gathering information and fostering connections with local MPs and councillors.
Connect with the heart of Stockport: Speak to local people, listen to their experiences, and understand the challenges and opportunities within the borough.
Identify local solutions: Research and document innovative solutions being implemented to address local issues in Stockport.
Network and build connections: Connect with a diverse range of individuals and organisations committed to social impact in Stockport.
Attend our UK-wide events: Participate in our forums and roundtable discussions, including opportunities to attend events at the Houses of Parliament.
Potential to represent Stockport: With experience, you may have the opportunity to represent Stockport within The Peoples Hub network and at relevant events.
