Could you spare 2 hours once a month to help isolated older people?
We have a lovely volunteer role for a group lead at Gatley Hill House. On the 2nd Tuesday of the month (launch date 12th August) 12-2pm. Our older guests will be invited to Gatley Hill House for a free monthly social gathering, where they can access gentle exercise like chair yoga, enjoy a brew and some good company with our amazing volunteers. Does this sound like something you would like to be involved with?
You will be fully trained by reengage, you will feel valued and appreciated and will make all the difference to someone who is lonely and feeling socially isolated. We don't ask for a DBS for the role we just ask for a ID check with Uckeck.

Our aim is to bring generations together to reduce loneliness and social isolation amongst older people and bring generations together in friendship and shared experiences. Re-engage is one of the few charities solely committed to tackling the issue of loneliness and social isolation affecting people 75+ by helping them to re-engage through regular social contact through our tea parties, activity groups, call and rainbow call companions. We simply couldn't do what we do without the amazing support of our volunteers across the UK.
