Beacon is Stockport’s leading mental health charity. We’ve been part of the Stockport community for over 40 years, delivering a whole range of mental health and wellbeing services in schools, community hubs, online, and from our base in the heart of Stockport.
We support more than 3,000 children, adults, and young people every year, helping with issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression and low esteem. We also help people to tackle work stress, bereavement and relationship challenges.
Beacon delivers the amazing support that we do because of our teamwork. If you’d like to be part of a fun, vibrant, welcoming team, this could be the place for you.

Role

We are looking for volunteers to help us plan and deliver a calendar of fundraising events. The events will be fun, and a great opportunity for us to connect with the local community, whilst raising some much-needed funds to enable Beacon to keep supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Stockport residents.

The volunteer roles will be very much guided by what you are able to (and would like to) offer. You could come along to help us with a stall at a Makers Market or Stockport Pride (for instance), or be more involved as an active member of the planning group, meeting regularly and helping us to organise fundraising events such as quizzes, or auctions.
